So iv'e had a busy week away from iusedtolovethat which has meant unfortunately I hadn't been able to complete MotU original toyline images as quickly as I would have liked. I hope to complete this tomorrow and move onto the next set of original toyline images. 

I would love anyone who has been following iusedtolovethat to contact us with what they would like to see next. I will also add some more content around these images. 

What I want to do is so vast it's hard not to get carried away sometimes. The content I already have put on needs to be a little more refined and tidied up to add interest and keep people coming back. I just need to remind myself this will take time.

On a separate note - Went to the Supermarket today and got into a little trouble for slipping away only to be found in the Toy Isle!. My excuse of 'its research' seems to have been accepted. My Wife is indeed a lucky lady :)

Just an update for the image of the day. The Japanese classic game Tamagotchi has inspired tonights viewing so time for me to sit back and enjoy the equally classic Battle Royale.

Added a little more content today, Series 2 of MotU. Think i'm starting to get an idea of how I would like this section to look. Ill carry on with this over the next week or so.

Delighted to announce my Followers on Twitter have reached Double Figures - Get In :)

Today I have spent time trying to set up my first area of the website. Where to start? I decided with the Masters Of The Universe.

The problem i am facing is how to lay it out.so I've put a small section online. Let me know what you think, remember its my first go!

I will add more over the next few days and get a decent amount of content on. And hopefully it will start to take shape. For now I'm aware it could be a lot better.

I am still waiting on that elusive 10th follower on Twitter and still haven't quite got my head around Facebook and how exactly to use it for the best.


Ideas would be appreciated.

The newest section of the site is entitled ' image of the day' and here you will be able to find, well - the image of the day.

I'll be adding the image to a gallery so we can see all the wonderful images as time passes in the one place. 

Each image will also be put into its rightful place on the site as it develops - once I can get my head around how it will all map out and have a structure which will be easy to navigate.

Not much else to be said for now other than I now have 9 Twitter followers. Woo-Hoo almost double figures.

So earlier today I took my first Photo Shoot, granted all the models were some of my old toys.....err i mean collectibles.

It was a lot of fun and already i can see the benefits. The images are clearer and it makes the site a lot more personal. I have spent the rest of the day playing around with the images and adding them to the Site and Facebook. 

The Twitter feed is a lot of fun and I have engaged with some great sites today getting little pieces of advice along the way.

 I set up a little section of the site called Who Am I? and the first segment was answered within a few hours. This is great - although it means having to update it sooner than I thought ;) a big shout out to DistractedByStarWars for getting in there first.

Also the blog received its first comment today  with some pointers on some graphics software to use, so all avenues seem to be going in the right direction.

I would like some feedback from you guys as this will really help to drive the site and give me the chance to provide the content you want..

So today I had my first attempt at making a graphic.

 I used a well known 'in built' paint package.and I'm reasonably pleased with the result. The general idea is there but I had trouble at the re-sizing part. As such the pictures have became blurry so the result isn't quite as crisp as id wanted it to be. Also i would liked to have blended the images a little better, but I really need some pictures on the site. 

So i would really love to hear some feedback on this. Hints on packages to use or tips on how to improve on this.....although it wouldn't be hard. all I ask is you be nice :)

I have also applied it to the Facebook page and been working on the Twitter feed., so if you've not already joined. The links are at the top of the page.

........................Then i'll begin, I'm not going to lie, I love stuff. Toys, Games Comics, Films and so on. I could spend endless hours looking online for the things I spent even more hours playing with as a child.

Then a year or two back I had a thought about bringing it all together online. A singular resource for everyone who shares similar interests to enjoy.

I have limited experience in building this type of site, but the aim is simple and modest.

To create for like minded people....... THE BEST WEBSITE IN THE WORLD EVER!!!

Okay perhaps it not modest, but let me give it a go.

The best way to achieve this will be to learn all I can about building websites, using Social Media and mastering arts and graphics software. The content should be as varied and as in depth as possible.And providing a marketplace to whet the appetites of collectors and those looking for great toys and gifts.

To do all this I will need your help. Your feedback on it all will be invaluable. Are there Toys or Products you would like to see on here, features that will enhance the experience or opinions on the layout or graphics I am using.

So finally its not just an idea anymore, the website is here(in a manner of speaking) The Facebook and Twitter sites are live. Join me and together we can rule the (online) Galaxy as ......erm!
